Wire-to-board connector
The connector employs Hirose’s ‘Swing Lock’ double locking mechanism to guarantee high reliability. During mating, the receptacle is inserted into the header at a slight angle by offering the cable end in first; this engages with a positive lock. The mating operation is then finished by swinging the other end of the receptacle in to engage with the friction lock which provides a tactile click to confirm correct mating. This system also prevents the receptacle from floating. The positive lock can withstand a minimum of 5 N of cable pull force, ensuring that the socket cannot be accidentally removed from the header. A small lever makes the unmating process quick and easy. Durability is 30 mating cycles. Blade contacts are utilised to prevent damage against any cable wrenching forces. These are positioned within a strengthened housing lance to improve retention. An effective contact mating length of 0,42 mm ensures good electrical continuity. The termination contacts on the header are fully moulded into the insulator to eliminate any gaps to prevent solder wicking.Awg Wire Sizes - News

We barely managed to thread 14 AWG wire through the tiny hole and found 16AWG wasn't that much easier, either. Second, the binding posts on the speaker will only accept bare wire. For those who own high-quality speaker wire that is hard-terminated with

The DF57 series is available in two to six positions and are suitable for AWG #28 or AWG #30 size cables. They are targeted at LED displays, touch panels, small motors, industrial robots, LED lighting modules, digital cameras and more.
Wire sizes can accommodate a range from 24 to 3/0 AWG (0.25 to 85.0 mm²). The user configurable Powerpole® insert housings offer maximum flexibility for the SPEC Pak(TM) High Power Connector. The H02 arrangement holds up to two PP180 contacts and eight
How does this AWG calculator work? | Wire Size Calculator
I am curious to know what the formula is behind this calculator for determining necessary wire size given the load and voltage:

Also, maybe someone smarter than me can analyze why it as you enter half the length of the circuit? I can’t tell if the half the circuit represents the run distance from panel to device, or if it represents halving even that value.
Ex. If a lightbulb is hooked up to a 14-2 wire that is 100ft long it would appear to be a 100 hundred foot circuit, but the closed loop inside the wire would be 200ft. So in the instance of the calculator, do they want 100ft or 50ft for the measurement?
You could do it for yourself on a spreadsheet. The website below gives AWG sizes and the corresponding resistances for copper wire. When considering allowable voltage drop 3% is a reasonable number. The supply voltage and phase are irrelevant – it is the heat generation and voltage drop which are of importance, both of which depend only on the current and length of wire.
