Unfortunately not only adults but children like to cool off by involving this method but sometimes it ends up with disastrous results. Five things that cause these undesirable results with children and water involve the following: weak or no supervision, no barriers, weak or no CPR skills, weak or no swimming ability, and lack of life jacket use. River’s Edge Hospital & Clinic receives new ST. PETER – River’s Edge Hospital & Clinic today announces that is has achieved national accreditation from DNV Healthcare, the newest and first Medicare-approved hospital accreditation program that integrates the ISO 9001 quality management system with the Medicare hospital standards and which requires the organization to evaluate the continuum of patient care throughout an entire healthcare system and take measured steps to improve when it is warranted. DNV hospital accreditation addresses the demands of quality-driven hospitals that are dedicated to patient-centered care. As part of the accreditation process, DNV surveyors track the care of patients across various departments and facilities of River’s Edge Hospital & Clinic. “It’s a much more holistic system” says Spike. “DNV is very thorough and it doesn’t feel like an inspection. We see collaboration. The DNV program helps us find opportunities throughout the organization to improve every day. This is a welcomed change. We now look upon accreditation as a strategic business tool and as source of empowerment for our staff. The DNV program keeps us moving forward.

Library Lady Bobbie: The Lost Children by Carolyn Cohagan
Twelve-year-old Josephine, ignored by her father and scorned by classmates, is lonely until she meets Fargus, who appears (and disappears) from her garden shed. Josephine follows, and is magically transported to the Higgins Institute where Fargus and Ida are orphans. Threatened by beasts (the Brothers) who are controlled by a villain (the Master), the trio escapes, setting in motion a far-flung adventure. Cohagan’s first novel is a time-slip fantasy set in a world in which childhood is threatened yet infinitely prolonged in order to satisfy the Brothers’ hunger and the Master’s desire for total domination. The main characters are well developed, particularly the spunky and plain-spoken Ida, the laconic but loyal Fargus, and Josephine, whose journey uncovers hidden strengths and helps her to understand her enigmatic father. Although the story is wrapped up a little too neatly, Fargus’ secret will especially intrigue.
