The top 5 anime movies of 2007 are animated features that scored big in Japan. Most of these films spawned from already popular anime series, such as "Pokémon" and "Detective Conan."
“Pokemon Diamond & Pearl: Dialga vs. Palkia vs. Darkrai” As with many films in the "Pokemon" franchise, this one tells the story of a battle between legendary creatures. Ash and his friends stumble into the mix and must find a way to restore peace before the world crumbles. When it hit American shores, this anime movie’s title changed to “Pokemon: The Rise of Darkrai.”
“Detective Conan: Jolly Roger in Deep Azure” The anime movie “Detective Conan: Jolly Roger in Deep Azure” continues the adventures of Conan, a child detective. In this story, the young hero is solving crime on an island in the Pacific. When released in Japan, the film made 2.53 billion yen.
“Evangelion: 1.0 You Are [Not] Alone” This anime movie is a retelling of the infamous series “Neon Genesis Evangelion.” The movie features enhanced graphics and minor alterations to the storyline. Several movies follow this one, continuing the retelling of original events.

Pokemon Diamond & Pearl Specials
How come they were never translated as an English Dub? If you don't know what I'm talking about there's a couple of Special Episodes after Ash's Sinnoh League Tournament where they show Brock back in Pewter City helping his brother Forrest at the Pewter City Gym in Kanto while Dawn is on a journey by herself in Sinnoh or Hoenn with a new female partner. I think in one of the episodes Brock helps Dawn out with her contests from time to time or something. They were only aired in Japan but surprisingly due to the rush to get into Generation 5 with Black & White I guess Pokemon USA never had the time to dub it in English from Japan. Then the other problem was that whoever was in charge of the Pokemon Anime in Japan took too long with Generation 4 spanning 4 years and released Gen 5 at the last minute. So that was why the Diamond/Pearl Specials never aired in the U.S. Sure it's not like anything significant happened but they were filler episodes that were interesting to watch. Who knows. Maybe they'll air them as special episodes sometime in the future. If Dawn and or Brock visits Hoenn to see Ash, maybe they could air the dub specials near those episodes. That or they could air them in an hour block between the seasons in the dub, since there aren't any seasons in the japanese version.
